Last Goodbye (Poem)

“I hope you find a reason

To smile through your tears.

I hope you take a moment

To remember happy years.

I may be gone today

And your grief maybe great.

Just because I am gone

Doesn’t mean I am forgotten.

Just because today you remember me with tears

Doesn’t mean you won’t smile tomorrow

As you remember happier years.

I am always with you

No matter where you go.

I look down and smile

As you go to and fro.

I am always with you

Right here beside you

But most importantly

I am forever in yout heart.

So go now, say your last goodbye

But know I am watching you

Know I am holding you.

Know I am here with you.

So don’t be afraid to smile

Even as you cry.

Always keep in mind

That I will always love you

Even now as we say our last goodbye.”

I am an Undiagnosed Non-Binary person (she/they). I stumbled across pro neurodivergent autistics by pure chance and now I help spread the information they want Parents and even our fellow autistics to know has there is a lot of misinformation out there about Autism.
